Guidelines
Last updated 3 October 2026 · beta
Ascension is a place for artists to keep their work and for people to find it. These are the rules for sharing it. They are short on purpose, and they will change as the beta teaches us what was missing.
Post your own work
- Upload work you made, or work you have the right to show.
- Do not post someone else’s art as yours, with or without the signature removed.
- Fan work is welcome. Tracing, reposting or reselling another artist’s piece is not.
- If a piece was made with an AI image generator, say so in the description. Do not pass off generated images as hand-made work.
What is not allowed
- Anything sexual involving minors, or characters presented as minors. This is removed and reported.
- Harassment, threats, or content that attacks people for who they are.
- Sexually explicit or graphically violent work that is not marked 18+. Mark it when you post and it is welcome; it stays blurred for anyone who has not chosen to see it.
- Spam, scams, and accounts that exist to advertise.
- Anything illegal, or that shares somebody’s private information.
- Impersonating another artist or person.
Prices and commissions
Your price sheet should describe what you will actually deliver. Ascension takes no part in a commission, so agree the details in writing with the other person. Taking payment and not delivering, or posting a sheet to collect money you never meant to earn, is a scam and ends the account.
Comments, messages and communities
The same rules apply to what you write as to what you post. Critique the work, not the person. Community owners can set stricter rules for their own rooms; they cannot set looser ones.
Reporting and blocking
- Every post, comment, page and message has a Report button. A moderator reads each report. The person you report is not told it was you.
- Block on someone’s page stops them commenting on your work, messaging you or sending you a friend request. They are not notified.
What happens next
When something breaks these rules, a moderator removes it. A removed post is hidden from everyone but you, and you are told. Repeated or serious breaches can end with an account being closed. If you think we got it wrong, use the contact form and a person will look again.
